DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for January 12 to January 18, 2015
In terms of drama watching, last week was the most dramatic and thrilling in recent K-drama history. Also, before I forget, Healer's episode 13 starts today! Now let's see what the new Weekly Top 10 list is for the most-watched dramas.
Last week, we bid fond farewell to both Pinocchio and Birth of a Beauty. If you haven't started these two shows, it's "safe" to watch because of the great happy and satisfying endings! You and I both know there are some shows that start out great, but the endings aren't as great. These two outstanding dramas will not disappoint you at all from beginning to end. I cannot praise them enough. I'm thankful that these two dramas were made and that the excellent hot actors Lee Jong Suk, Park Shin Hye, Joo Sang Wook, and Han Ye Seul were born to play the roles that give us hours of immeasurable fun.
Healer is firmly at #3 after Pinocchio and Birth of a Beauty. That cliffhanger has kept me checking for the next episode nonstop. I have a new metaphor for Healer. Yes, I know I've compared Jung Hoo (Ji Chang Wook) and Young Shin (Park Min Young) to Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane, but there is another intriguing comparison: Healer is like Sleeping Beauty. Think of him as someone who's been in the dark about the past, and he's been a nightcrawler living a secluded life. In other words, he's been in a slumber like Sleeping Beauty until he ran into Young Shin. Unlike Sleeping Beauty, in which the princess wakes up when kissed by the prince, in Healer, it is the prince who wakes up and starts feeling alive when he kisses Young Shin. We are anxiously waiting for episode 13 to find out if Healer dies (highly unlikely) or gets saved by Young Shin. How will he explain himself away? I'm on pins and needles.
While I was saving room for my secret hottie Hyun Bin in Hyde, Jekyll, and I, I decided to try Someone Like You. Big mistake! Why? Because I'm hooked right from the first minute! Now I can't wait to find out what happens next in this romance drama with a unique twist. It's also fun to watch a first-time leading man looking as good as Kingone Wang, who is also completing a graduate degree in philosophy. Wow!
In other news:
Pride And Prejudice also concluded last week. I haven't had the time to watch it, but it's been a top favorite in Korea and on DramaFever. It may also be the last drama to see Choi Jin Hyuk before he heads off for military service. So it's on my definite to-watch list.
