DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for July 21st to July 27th
Sparks fly and truth gets revealed in our favorite shows, especially in Trot Lovers and The Joseon Gunman, where we are reaching the pivotal mid-point of the dramas. Despite a surprise cast change, Roommate apparently has the throne for a while, but which new show made a strong showing and which 'old' show returned to the Top 10 list? Let's find out.
I am still reliving some of my favorite scenes from last week, such as a pair of songbird lovers finding each other in Trot Lovers, Joseon Zorro (Lee Joon Ki) rescuing his sister from a galloping horse, Aaron and Tia sharing a steamy kiss by campfire, that I can't wait for new episodes. Those of you who are addicted to your favorite shows know what I mean. We start a show thinking we are just giving it a try and we're going to exercise our critical eye to judge it, but before we know it, we've fallen for it hook, line and sinker.
One of my very, very favorite scenes was in The Joseon Gunman (because I've gone back to watch it a dozen times,) when Lee Joon Ki's sister (the young girl from My Love From Another Star) heard a fast horse coming in a thunderous chase, and turned around in fear. Seeing it was her brother, she reached out her hand confidently, and Lee grabbed hold of her and hoisted her onto the horseback, and they rode off into the midnight clear. Wow! My blood was pumping and I was jumping for joy! This show has been perfect in its blend of romance, adventure, and suspense as we see how a young man has to balance his love and his duty in a time of conflict between good and evil. Oh, did I mention its wonderful music? Lucky for me that it's an on-air show or I would finish it all in a marathon now.
Here are last week's Weekly Top 10 shows in order of most popular:
2. Running Man
4. Trot Lovers
What happens when romance develops between an obsessive compulsive mystery writer and his psychiatrist? Find out in It’s Okay, That’s Love
I'm obviously delighted to see my personal favorites The Joseon Gunman, Trot Lovers, and Fall In Love With Me continue their rise on the Top 10. Another personal favorite is Love Myself Or You, which is also entering a critical stage. I'm sure new shows Temptation and High School Love On are gathering devoted fans too, but I simply haven't had the time to catch up with them. Please let me know what you like about the shows that you are watching.
In the meantime, long awaited new drama, It's Okay, That's Love, starring audience favorites Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung, has started simulcasting. Are you watching it yet? Let me give you a hint: It is full of zany surprises right from the get-go, and so far it's not what I had anticipated.
Wishing you all another wonderful week of drama watching!
