DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for May 11 to May 17, 2015
Will Kim Soo Hyun's Producer and Kang So Ra's Jeju Island Gatsby (aka Warm and Cozy) make a dent in last week's newly crowned Sensory Couple? With so many attractive new dramas to watch, are you able to find the time to immerse in dramaland, and which shows are your favorite now?
Congratulations for our favorite Sensory Couple for keeping the #1 spot. But, watch out, the great ensemble cast of Producer has taken it into the Top10 at #7 (as well as top ratings in Korea) even though the new drama just started on Friday. Jeju Island Gatsby, the "Warm and Cozy" romantic comedy, also made a strong showing at #12. Even more impressive may be the young lovers from School 2015 climbing to #2, to fans' delight!
Are you in Team Ye Ji (Gong Hyo Jin) or Team Cindy (IU)? I've been a Gong Hyo Jin fan ever since I watched Greatest Love. However, the chemistry between Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) and Cindy has caught me by surprise. I love that scene where the otherwise timid Seung Chan was quite persistent with the reticent Cindy to get her phone number. I have no idea what Producer plans for the romantic relationship eventually, but at this point, I'm rooting for Seung Chan to grow and be strong and for the rebelling Cindy to find her true voice in life.
Glad to see most of my favorite shows staying popular. Falling in Love with Soon Jung gets better and better as we see Soon Jung showing her inner strength and smarts to push Min Ho out of his depression to find a solution. Follow the the hilarious drama club HERE.
Perhaps the title gives it away, but My Unfortunate Boyfriend is giving us a really good contrast between two men with different inner qualities. Who would you choose if you were the girl? Check out the great discussion among our club members HERE.
In other news:
If you thought Sensory Couple seems to be moving fast toward the end, it's because it is ending this week. Instead of 20 episodes, it is really only 16 episodes. I'll miss the lovely couple, and I have high hopes for a happy ending!
The highly anticipated Orange Marmalade started today, May 18. Are you ready for Yeo Jin Goo (The Moon that Embraces the Sun) to fall in love with the mysterious new girl in school, Kim Seol Hyun (Seolhyun from girl group AOA)?
This week's movie will be Finding Mr. Right, starring Tang Wei and Wu Xiu Bo. Wu Xiu Bo moves from the top lawyer role in Divorce Lawyer to be a doctor living in Seattle and meets the beautiful Tang Wei, who plays a woman who is pregnant and isolated. The original Chinese title is actually "Beijing Meets Seattle."
