DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for May 25 to May 31, 2015
We have a new winner! There's a big change in the new Top 10 Most Watched Dramas, and it affects Sensory Couple, School 2015, Producer, Orange Marmalade, Jeju Island Gatsby, and more. Also, guess which old favorite drama returned to the Top 10. (Hint: Lee Min Ho)
The adorable School 2015 has snatched the crown in the newest Top 10 list, sending Sensory Couple tumbling down to #4. However, Sensory Couple has earned a beloved spot in our heart, and it kept the #1 position for a long time.
Producer made its first entry into the 3rd position, energized by the ensemble star cast including Kim Soo Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, Cha Tae Hyun, and IU. I'm still on Team Cindy for the Umbrella Couple, but there seems to be a detour in episode 5 and 6.
I personally think Jeju Island Gatsby (aka Warm and Cozy) is the best show to watch now, and here are at least 8 warm and cozy reasons that make this a wonderful experience, especially if you just want to hang out and be a couch tourist.
I thought I was going to rest after the happy endings of Falling in Love with Soon Jung and Someone Like You, but I was taken to the cliffhanger of a nerve-racking beginning in Mask, reminding me of a Hitchcock film. I then found myself unavoidably attracted to sweet tomato juice in Orange Marmalade. And poof, there goes my beauty sleep. There are actually more dramas that I want to watch, but I only have 24 hours a day. If you don't have time yet, read up on the great recaps HERE for Mask, and HERE for Orange Marmalade.
As we say goodbye to My Unfortunate Boyfriend hopefully with a happy ending, there are many new shows to come this week, as June is off to a tremendous start.
In other news:
If you loved Birth Of A Beauty, how about a second helping of handsome and funny Joo Sang Wook where he is a prosecutor by day and a Masked Prosecutor at night? Even better, he gets to romance tough and beautiful police detective Kim Sun Ah. This is a drama that I can't wait to watch. The new drama starts Wednesday, June 3. Sign up for episode alerts HERE.
The long-awaited EXO Lives Next door starts this Friday, June 5. What happens when K-pop group EXO's members move into the neighborhood, actually, right next door? It's bound to be somebody's fantasy come true.
Did you enjoy the movie A Beautiful Life, starring the incomparable actress Shu Qi? A new weekend movie, Running Man International, starts Saturday, June 6. Based on the popular Korean Running Man, the movie is about two teams comprised of Chinese celebrities and Korean star Kim Jong Kook. By the way, among the cast is Angela Yeung, who just married her boyfriend, top Chinese hunk Huang Xiao Ming.
