A new week brings a new Top 10 most watched shows. Two brand new shows jumped into the list on their first showing. My Lovable Girl keeps the top spot as it finished with a happy ending, but what about the other spots?

New drama Birth of a Beauty is hilarious! I first saw the beautiful actress Han Ye Seul in Spy Myung Wol which also starred leading men Eric Moon and Lee Jin Wook. I was very happy with that show but did not realize she would wait 3 years to make another drama. So I'm even happier to see Birth of a Beauty come out swinging with a fun story. Will it be more comedy than revenge or a perfect mix of both? It's a little early to tell; we'll just have to keep watching.

Tomorrow's Cantabile's episodes 7 and 8 really are a great set to watch together. But if episode 7 is like a series of pounding waves moving up to an emotional crescendo, then episode 8 is the explosive outpouring of emotions leading to a shocking aftermath when we thought a crisis had been averted. I really don't know which is the most touching: Yoon Hoo conducting S Orchestra to play the crowd-pleasing and engaging Mambo, Il Rak deliriously happy at the surprise offer by his dream girl to practice together, or Yoo Jin and Nae Il's separately hypnotic performances of the Grieg piano masterpiece.

People who are familiar with the popular manga and anime would know what's up ahead, but I have no such advantage. I can only rely on knowing the story is popular to have faith in a happy ending. But, if happy ending means Yoo Jin (Joo Won) and Nae Il (Shim Eun Kyung) will join their love for music and for each other, what does that do to poor Yoon Hoo? I'm completely won over by him (and the oh-so-cute actor Park Bo Guem) and have serious Second Lead Syndrome. Hey, I play the piano some too and could really use the handsome and kind Yoon Hoo for a mentor, muse, and more. Actually, I'll study any musical instrument of his choice. I might even put on a raccoon outfit.

I also would like to salute those who read and loved the manga before any anime or live-action adaptation was made. These readers must have had a strong imagination to "hear" the enchanting music from the pages because music is such an important and captivating player in this story.
