DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for October 12, 2015
Will last week's surprise winner Noble, My Love stay on top? Several new dramas, like She Was Pretty, Six Flying Dragons, and Cheer Up! have made impressive starts. Let's see if your favorite drama is on the new Top 10 Most Watched Shows.
Did you watch Heirs last week? Led by Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, the star-marking drama celebrated its 2-year anniversary on October 9, and it continues to shine on our list week after week. A big thank you to all the new and old DramaFever fans.
If you live in Korea, you'd have to pick between Cheer Up! and Six Flying Dragons because they are broadcast in the same time slot on the same night. Luckily, our viewers can watch both of these fantastic dramas on demand. Check out new stills of Jung Eun Ji and Lee Won Geun HERE.
I'm also liking She Was Pretty a lot, which could be the best romance comedy now aside from Twenty Again. I love that Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Joon get to renew their onscreen chemistry from Kill Me, Heal Me, but I'm also feeling the tug of Second Lead Syndrome for the very likable and funny Super Junior Choi Siwon.
I hope Choi Ji Woo will get her well-deserved happy ending in Twenty Again. In real life, it is probably not a good idea to jump immediately into a new relationship. But, when it comes to Lee Sang Yoon who has loved the same girl for 20 years, my heart melts! (For those who've seen the slap scene, find the gif to watch it again and again HERE.)
When I See You Again concludes in episode 20 with a Chinese buffet of happy endings for all. I really like the unexpectedly delightful and romantic pairing of Jasper Liu and Mandy We. The last few episodes focused on Jasper's friend, who turned into a very handsome villain. Remember Jet Chao, because I bet we'll see more of this attractive model-turned-hot actor.
Anyone got addicted to Because It's the First Time? It's only 8 episodes with 45 minutes each. Do the math and you'll see it's easy to spend some quality time with Shinee's Choi Min Ho (To The Beautiful You).
In other news:
A great binge candidate, My Secret Hotel with Yoo In Na and Jin Yi Han, starts on Thursday, October 15. I've heard good things about it and it's only 16 episodes. Love triangle and murder mystery. Sounds fabulous, especially when Nam Goong Min (Sensory Couple) is in the hotel too.
Hong Kong drama King Maker, starring Wayne Lai and Kent Cheng, starts on Thursday, October 15. The fictional historical drama depicts palace intrigue during the Song Dynasty. I think this is pretty interesting as other Chinese historical dramas are usually about the Han, Tang, or Qing dynasties.
