DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for September 22 to September 28
We have many surprises this week, including newcomers that clinch top spots and another old favorite making a comeback. Fans will be pleased to see some favorite shows making the list for the first time. And, here's a hint: Dal Bong is a winner!
My Lovable Girl has taken the top honor, and I'm not surprised. I fell in love with it before the first episode was over. Although it has some similarities with Trot Lovers because of the music entertainment universe that both exist in, My Lovable Girl stands on its own in its subtle and sophisticated atmosphere. I love it that Rain is not the typical ill-tempered chaebol son who has a lot to grow; here he is already a mature man but is brokenhearted over his fiancee's tragic death. I also love it that they are developing the romance slowly. At this point, Rain is simply taking Krystal under his wings and helping her to develop her songwriting talents.
Another reason for My Lovable Girl's rise could also be that shirtless Rain was in a shower scene, but I'm resisting posting that photo, for now. However, I wouldn't be surprised that our recapping fan club will give you a peek. Another reason could be that Hae Yoon ate the dog treat by mistake? It still makes me laugh when I think about it.
Blade Man is also a keeper on my list. Maybe a better title is Blade Man versus Fearless Girl. It's fun to watch their interactions. I now feel that Lee Dong Wook is the perfect choice for the lead role even though another star had turned down the role first. I don't know how Lee does it, but he's been busy with other projects, including Roommate.
Oh, I'm delighted that The Night Watchman's Journal made it to the Top 10 finally. Could it have been helped that Jung Il Woo dressed in pretty green but was possessed by the God of Tragedy? Have no fear, it was quickly resolved, but I know I much prefer the nice Jung Il Woo than the smirking Jung "Evil" Woo.
So, have you done your fall cleaning? On top of all these excellent shows we have, there's more to come!
In other news:
Fated To Love You ends on Thursday. So if you're the type to wait to marathon, now's the time to start.
Here's an early scoop! We have the hilarious trailer for this weekend's movie Love On-Air, starring Lee Min Jung and Lee Jung Jin. Can I say this? I love Lee Jung Jin. Also, I spy the adorable Lee Kwang Soo in the cast. I can't wait.
Here are last week's Weekly Top 10 shows in order of most popular:
