Earthquake causes widespread damage to anime figures in Japan
A huge 6.3 earthquake that rocked Japan early Friday morning injured several people and sent many scrambling for safety. The quake occurred near the city of Oita in the island of Kyushu. For anime fans and collectors of action figures, one of their main concerns was assessing the damage done to their collections right after the earthquake hit.
Many fans immediately took to Twitter to post photos of the earthquake's impact on their prized pieces. And the anime fans were definitely heartbroken by the fallout. Obviously safety is always the biggest concern anytime a major disaster occurs, and we're glad that no one has been reported dead since the earthquake struck. We hope that anyone who lost anything because of the disaster will be able to successfully recover all of their possessions.
