EXO's Baekhyun went to the 2015 Tiger Bank KBO League's opening game at Eagles Park on June 16 to throw the ceremonial first pitch. We've got the video. Take a look!
On game day, it was SK Wyverns versus Hanwha Eagles, but all eyes were on EXO's Baekhyun as he entered the Eagles' home stadium. Excited Baekhyun fans squealed in delight as they had their phone cameras ready for a fantastic shot.
Before he threw the first pitch, Baekhyun greeted the crowd. He asked for support for the new EXO song "Love Me Right." He then confidently raised his arms, showing full focus from his facial expression, and threw a very successful first pitch.
Here's the video:
A representative of Hanwha Eagles said that the EXO song "Overdose" matches well with the addicting attraction of the baseball team, and the team decided to invite Baekhyun for the ceremonial first pitch. Baekhyun also did not charge or receive any fee for his appearance.
Although Baekhyun's appearance drew a high attendance to the game, some of the fans exhibited poor behavior that was later criticized in a news report.
According to MyDaily, some of the fans used counterfeit tickets to enter. This is actually a criminal act, worse than just poor behavior. Some were also noticed to have carried fake media passes in order to get closer to Baekhyun. Also, many fans left as soon as Baekhyun finished his first pitch, causing a disturbance. These fans' behavior certainly marred an otherwise great event and has been criticized by other fans of EXO and Baekhyun for negatively affecting EXO and Baekhyun's reputation.
