May I have some green tea, please? Sure, but this kind will cost you 300,000 yen, or almost $3,000.

Royal Blue Tea Japan, a tea brewery in the city of Fujisawa in Kanagawa Prefecture, has produced a very exclusive green tea called MASA Super Premium. Named after Masataka Ohta, who won the coveted Emperor's Cup last year for producing the best green tea in Japan, MASA Super Premium was made using 1 kilogram of Yabikita tea leaves out of a total of only 4 that were handpicked. No additives, no use of a sterilization filter, and not heated, the tea was extracted using only water for a period of 3 days.

The tea comes in a 750ml wine bottle, which is placed in a wooden box decorated with the calligraphy of award winning calligrapher Takeda Sokumo. The box is then wrapped in kimono fabric. Pretty fancy.
