First international Hello Kitty Park opens in China
Finally, there is a Hello Kitty Park outside of Japan, and the first one is built in China. Visitors will see 40 of the best-loved cartoon characters from Sanrio, the company that is behind Hello Kitty and her friends. Check out the photos and the video from the inauguration celebration.
The Hello Kitty Park in China just celebrated its inauguration on November 28. The construction began in 2011, and the theme park will officially open on January 1, 2015.
The new Hello Kitty Park in China is located in Anji, Zhejiang province, near the famous ancient city of Hangzhou, Costing over US$300 million to construct, the 150-acre theme park is expected to attract one million visitors each year.
