Girls Generation breaks a YouTube record
Girls Generation makes history!
The SMTOWN girl group may not have released Psy's explosive 2012 hit single "Gangnam Style", but they are the very first K-Pop group to have three videos on YouTube surpass 150 million views. The music videos for their classic hit songs "The Boys", “I Got a Boy” and “Gee" continue to grow in views and the last two are well over 170 million.
It's amazing that songs from 2009 through 2012 are still getting so much support. This great honor proves that Sones' undying love for these Hallyu singers is incredible!
Girls Generation hasn't had any group promotions this year, but you can still watch members Yoona and Yuri in their latest K-dramas. Catch Yoona in the The K2 and Yuri in the short series Go Ho's Starry Night here on DramaFever.
Congratulations girls! I hope fellow K-Pop groups follow in your footsteps.
Which GG music video do you think will make it into the 150 million club next ?
