Google is finally paying attention to Vietnam where there is a fast growing young population living a different lifestyle from just a decade ago. Vietnam is one of the only 21 countries in the world where more people use smartphones than PCs. Here is Google's first TV commercial in Vietnam. (It is subbed in English.) Take a look and tell us what you think about Google's new ad.

According to recent stats, 42.1% of the Vietnamese population is 24 years and younger, and 44.8% is 25 to 54 years old. The country of Vietnam has been going through a lot of changes in its developing economy and moving more into an urban lifestyle.

Google has taken note and wants to reach out to the Vietnamese people and businesses with its first-ever ad on Vietnamese TV.

Here is the video titled The Sooterist:

Produced by Singaore-based marketing company Phibious, the commercial promotes Google's "OK Google" mobile search to remind smartphone users to utilize (and talk to) the Google search engine that knows anything and everything in our lives.

In the video, you see young and hip Vietnamese using Google to help them find destinations, locate where to view the best sunset, get help on changing the spark plug on a motorbike, and even how to train a puppy to ride on the bike.

By the way, the 4 Scooterists you see in the ad are real people, not professional actors.

What do you think about the ad? Are you surprised by the young Vietnamese generation's mobile-driven life style?
