Gorgeous stars grace the red carpet at Taiwan's 50th Golden Horse Awards
The 50th Golden Horse Awards, Taiwan's most prestigious movie award and the equivalent of the Oscars for Chinese language films, just took place this weekend. The jury committee was chaired by Ang Lee (Oscar's Best Director for The Life of Pi). Check out the glamorous fashion and the stars who graced the red carpet this year.
Internationally famous Chinese actress, Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) was the hottest contender for the Best Actress award for her movie, The Grandmaster. Here she is in a Chanel gown complimented by Tiffany jewelry.
Maggie Cheung (In the mood for love), long-time internationally-renowned Hong Kong actress, shows us how to wear a gown with poise.
Shu Qi (Transporter), a past Golden Horse winner and in the running again for the Best Actress award for her movie Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons, said she was very relaxed this time. Can you see the one-million dollar Cindy Chao bracelet she's wearing?
This is probably the most eye-catching gown of them all. Li BingBing (Snow Flower and the Secret Fan) is one of the few goddesses who can make this shimmering Gucci gown look perfect!
And let's not forget everyone's favorite actor, Jackie Chan, who looked very happy in his Chinese style jacket instead of a tuxedo. Maybe he's ready to show us a few martial arts poses?
By the way, Zhang Ziyi won the Best Actress award, and Guo Shu Yao won the Best New Performer award.
