Much-loved actors Lee Sun Gyun (Coffee Prince, Triple) and Gong Hyo Jin (Thank You, Hello My Teacher) light up the screen with their chemistry in this bubbly, addicting story of an acerbic master chef and a stubborn, warm-hearted kitchen assistant who fall in love. Feel-good and well-produced, wonderfully detailed in its creation of the specific world of a pasta restaurant, Pasta is characterized by a warm vibe reminiscent of both chick flick classics such as You've Got Mail and 2007's drama smash hit The First Shop of Coffee Prince. Alex of uber-popular band Clazziquai, Honey Lee of 2009's Partner, and a host of hilarious, good-looking supporting actors round out the cast. Seo Yoo Kyung (played by Gong Hyo Jin), after training as a kitchen assistant for two years, finally gets promoted to chef at La Sfera, the high-end pasta restaurant where she works. When a handsome stranger helps her one day and then asks her out, however, she has no idea that he is the restaurant's new head chef. On his first day on the job, the demanding new chef, Choi Hyun Wook (Lee Sun Gyun) fires all the female cooks, including Yoo Kyung. Yoo Kyung, however, too stubborn to let go of the past two years of her life so easily, will do whatever it takes to get her job back, and soon she and the chef are engaged in an ever-evolving battle as Yoo Kyung struggles to win the brusque master's respect for her cooking. Things are complicated by the presence of Kim San (Alex), a charming customer who often pays attention to Yoo Kyung and who seems to have mysterious ties to the restaurant, and Oh Sae Young (Lee Ha Nui/Honey Lee), a famous television cook who romantically betrayed Hyun Wook years before and is now out to win him back. With ratings that have been steadily climbing since the drama debuted, Pasta is certainly not to be missed. Watch Pasta here at DramaFever!
