Marmot is an American outdoors clothing and sports good company that was originated on the idea of two college students who were climbing on the glaciers in Alaska. The company rose to fame after it designed jackets for the movie The Eiger Sanction, starring Clint Eastwood. Marmot was officially established in 1974 and will be celebrating its 40-year anniversary this year.
