The well-known app Kwai has been flooded with downloads after Running Man featured its parody feature this week. Here's how you can join in on the fun!

On Sunday, the Running Man cast entertained themselves by playing with the Google Play video app Kwai. Their mission was to compete in an impression battle via the app for the opportunity to score a delicious lunch. The video application, which allows people to record themselves acting alongside audio clips of famous and comedic scenes, let the cast show off their impressive acting talent.

In response to the program, the Kwai video application became one of the most downloaded apps in the Google Play Store by rising almost 30 spots on the charts.

A Kwai representative recently expressed in a statement how overjoyed the company was at the surge in their product's popularity. “As SBS’ Running Man is a popular variety show among Kwai’s target market of teenagers and those in their 20s, there’s been a great reaction following the episode, including many inquiries about the app coming in. As it can be interpreted that one in every ten people in Korea are using Kwai, its appearance on this episode of Running Man sparked interest among the general public and so we are sincerely glad.”

South Korean celebrities have been using the app recently to post parody videos of famous scenes, and Kwai started to rise in popularity.
