Here’s the new medical K-drama you’ll want to binge on
Stand back all you other so-called "medical dramas"—there's a new medical K-drama in town, and it's not messing around! Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim is being touted as a "realistic" medical drama, whose crew had to actually study in the medical field to prepare, and based on its fast-paced, thrilling new teaser, I'd say it's on point!
In the new teaser, we witness Seo Hyun Jin (Another Oh Hae Young), Han Suk Kyu (The Berlin File) and Yoo Yun Suk (Jeju Island Gatsby, Answer Me 1994) up to their elbows in blood, sweat, and tears as they race to save the lives of their patients:
In Romantic Doctor, Teach Kim, Boo Yong Joo (Han Suk Kyu) was once a famous genius surgeon at Seoul's top hospital with the nickname "Hand of God." One day, he suddenly disappears and nobody knows exactly why. Years later, he resurfaces at a small provincial clinic as "Teacher Kim," calling himself the "Romantic Doctor." Having been burnt by people before, he now enjoys his life in seclusion, but he can't help but become a mentor to other struggling doctors, like Kang Dong Joo (Yoo Yun Suk), a prickly but brilliant man who only became a doctor to win someone over, and Yoon Seo Jung, a hot-blooded and hard working woman who only became a doctor to win recognition from someone. After they meet Teacher Kim, they learn about life values and develop a true love for saving lives.
Romantic Doctor, Teach Kim is written by Kang Eny Kyung of Gu Family Book, and directed by Yu In Sik of Mrs. Cop and You Are All Surrounded. It's premiering on DramaFever on November 7 after the conclusion of Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. Add it to your queue now!
