Hwang Jung Eum considers acting in MBC's upcoming series Tyrant
Hwang Jung Eum is looking for her follow-up project to the hit series She Was Pretty. The 30 year-old actress has been flooded with scripts following the finale of her popular MBC K-drama. Her agency recently reassured the media that Hwang is considering a role in MBC's upcoming series Tyrant, as well as other shows. However, she has not confirmed her appearance in anything yet.
Tyrant will be about a man fighting against greed while facing incredible hardship. The story focuses on the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 and follows the main characters to 2016. It is scheduled to premiere in April, and new episodes will air Monday and Tuesdays at 9:55PM [KST]. Giant and Incarnation of Money writer Jang Young Chul and The Legendary Witch director Joo Sung Woo have already joined the new series' production team.
Meanwhile, Hwang is expected to win big at the 2015 MBC Drama Awards because of her hit dramas Kill Me, Heal Me and She Was Pretty. Fans are very excited to see what new dramas she and Park Seo Joon choose in 2016. I hope they both choose comedies, because they both light up the screen with their bright sense of humor.
What kind of productions do want to see Hwang be a part of in the new year?
