Maybe you’ve been watching Heirs faithfully so far, but you’re having a hard time keeping track of everyone. So many side characters, and all of them seem intertwined somehow! Even in episode 4, we get more new people with that tutor girl. It’s enough to make your head spin. Well, never fear! All you have to do is associate them with something familiar, and you’ll be all set.

For your viewing convenience, here are some of the most important side players in the show, listed by the Disney character they most resemble.

1. Choi Young Do = Hades

Hades may technically be a Disney villain, but at least he had a sense of humor, right? It’s the same with Choi Young Do. He’s a little bit nasty at this point, but he also has enough wit and dark charm to keep us intrigued. The bond between these two is only strengthened by the fact that they both have masterful command of their expressive eyebrows and matching pompadours.

2. Kim Won = Scar

Jealous brother just waiting for the chance to stab his sibling in the back? Check. Sending the one little brat who might challenge his power into exile? Check. Deep, resonating villain voice? Check. Can the writer please make Choi Jin Hyuk say “Long live the king!” at some point in this series? Just once?

3. Yoo Rachel = The Queen

Cold, calculating, and beautiful—all of these qualities describe both Rachel and the Queen. Neither one of them likes the idea of some cute, uppity girl tromping on their territory. If Rachel had access to a poisoned apple, I have no doubt that she would use it.

4. Yoon Chan Young = Thomas (Pocahontas)

Thomas was always the sidekick who was way too handsome to just be a sidekick. And, lest we forget, he was voiced by Christian Bale (True story!). Similarly, Chan Young is a solid, supportive friend who also happens to be excellent eye candy.

5. Lee Bo Na = The Bimbettes

Did you know that these characters had an actual title? I didn’t, but “the Bimbettes” seems absolutely fitting. If Lee Bo Na were a triplet (Thank heavens she isn’t!), this is exactly who she would be. She only seems to care about her man, and it doesn’t take much to make her go from giddy to grumpy in 0.2 seconds.

Okay, so that’s just scratching the surface of the many side characters on this show, but at least it’s a start towards understanding some of the major love triangles at play. For more clarification, consult our updated Heirs character map.
