Disney artist takes Mickey and the gang on a trip to ancient and modern Japan
We've seen fan art of popular animated characters entering worlds they've never been to before, but this time, an actual Disney storyboard artist and theme park designer has brought his favorite characters into ancient and modern Japan, and his creations are the likes of something we've never seen.
John Ramirez is a talented Disney storyboard artist, and he just so happens to love Japan and all things Japanese, so naturally, by putting his two loves together, John created something totally new — Mickey and the gang taking a trip to the past and present of the Land of the Rising Sun. With a little bit of photo magic, John simply inserted his characters into photos, where they seem to naturally blend in with their surroundings. Disney characters, by now, are timeless and belong to all of us, so it makes perfect sense that the magical world of Disney can happen anywhere in the world. And lucky for us, John loves Japan, and he brought his world to its past and present through his wonderful imagination.
Enjoy the magical world of Japanese Disney!
