Sometimes, true heroes never get the recognition that they deserve. Luckily, that is not the case with a larger-than-life single father who spends almost six hours every day transporting his disabled son to and from school. The 40-year-old man, named Yu Xukang, comes from rural Sichuan and leaves his house every morning at 7:00 a.m. to walk his son two hours to school. Under normal circumstances, that would already be a tremendous sacrifice, but Yu Xukang carries him all the way there.

Since there is no public transportation, he then picks his son up at 4:00 p.m. and carries him home. His 12-year-old son's foot and hand are bent, as well as his spine, making it impossible for him to get to school on his own. Due to the rareness of his condition, doctors have not been able to properly diagnosis him. In total, Yu Xukang walks 28 kilometers a day, and has walked 2,500 km's since the beginning of the school year.

Fortunately netizens have drawn attention to this amazing story and people are starting to take notice of the father and son. When asked about his incredible act of humanity, Yu Xukang proudly said, "We are never late."
