Normally the designs for new inventions are based on art, people, and geography but now some very astute netizens would like to add money to the list. Some netizens on Twitter have pointed out that the design for the recently launched iPhone 6 Plus looks an awful lot like Japanese currency.

You might instantly scoff at this idea until you examine a picture of the new iPhones and Japanese currency side-by-side. The coloring in both the yen and the iPhone is strikingly similar, and both objects are proportionally spaced the same way.

It's also really interesting to see how the iPhone and yen have most of the information on both the top and bottom. Just remember that they are, in fact, not the same thing, and you unfortunately can't buy a new iPhone with a new iPhone.
