Japan has unusual new flavors of Haagen Dazs icecream you won't see anywhere else
Two new flavors of Haagen Dazs ice cream will debut on May 12th in Japan, and the flavors are sure to surprise you.
Foreign companies will often market and sell an "only in Japan" product. This may be a bonus track on a rock & roll record by a record label, or it may be a special ice cream, as is the case with Haagen Dazs and their new "Tomato Cherry" and "Carrot Orange" flavors in their "Spoon Vege" line.
The tomato cherry ice cream's flavor will feature the umami and sweetness of tomatoes with a tinge of the tartness and acidity of cherries, resulting in a rich, delicious tomato red ice cream. The carrot orange's base is the soft sweetness and aroma of carrots, with the added touch of tangy and sweet smelling oranges. According to Haagen Dazs, this refreshing ice cream has a beautiful carrot-orange color.
Just by looking through internet posts, more people seem to be questioning the combination of tomatoes and ice cream than being excited for it.
