Japan unveils the first-ever robot newscasters
This has been a big month for Japan and robots. A few weeks ago, billionaire Son Masayoshi unveiled a robot named Pepper who could sense human emotions. And now, a pair of jarringly lifelike android newscasters were introduced at an exhibition in Tokyo called, "Japan and the Android: What is a Human?"
The robots are named Kodomoroid and Otonaroid and they can talk and broadcast the news with an effortless ease that is borderline terrifying. They also know how to have casual interactions with humans, including even being able to sneak in a joke or two. It's pretty crazy to think that these lifelike robots could be the future of news.
