Japanese man arrested for stealing Valentine's Day chocolates for himself
I have never been one to condone a crime, but this might be one that we can overlook. A 67-year-old man in Itami, Japan was arrested for stealing Valentine's Day chocolates for himself.
Now, that might sound a bit selfish until you hear the man's response for why he stole the two candy bars from a supermarket: "I’d never been given any chocolate in my life, so I wanted some."
Aww man, that makes me sad. The good news is that netizens certainly seem to have the man's back on this one, with some saying the following:
"Aww, dude, I’d have bought you some!"
"Somehow I think it is ok to call him the victim in all of this."
"Come on, just give him a verbal warning."
"This has to be the saddest incident of the year."
