Last week, K-Dramaland was buzzing with excitement at potentially seeing a new on-screen couple formed by Ji Chang Wook (Healer, The K2) and Lee Sung Kyung (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo) in the new series Be Careful of This Woman. Well, what a difference a week makes! Now, the lead actor has been cemented, but the leading lady that was reported to have been offered the role has been changed. Here are the latest updates we have for you.

Ji Chang Wook is officially in, and Lee Sung Kyung, who was initially offered the lead female role, is out. SBS has now offered the part to Han Ji Min (Hyde, Jekyll, and I). However, according to her agency, BH Entertainment, it’s too soon for her to make a decision as she is currently is in the middle of filming her new movie Miss Baek, in addition to reviewing other offers.

Following the confirmation of Ji Chang Wook’s participation in the new Wednesday-Thursday romantic comedy thriller, more details have been released on the main characters. Reportedly, he’ll be playing Noh Ji Wook, a public prosecutor who gets entangled in a case involving a woman named Eun Bong Hee. This central female character used to train in taekwondo, but later becomes a trainee in the legal system. She also later becomes a murder suspect, hence the involvement of Noh Ji Wook. If Han Ji Min accepts, she would be portraying Eun Bong Hee.

Be Careful of This Woman’s script was written by the same writer of I Remember You. The new show is expected to air in May following Saimdang: Light's Diary.

What are your thoughts on seeing Ji Chang Wook and Han Ji Min acting together in this new rom-com?
