Ji Chang Wook will star in Chinese drama The Whirlwind Girl 2
Ji Chang Wook is a hot Hallyu star! A year after his Healer series wrapped, the 28-year-old heartthrob has scored two new dramas overseas that are scheduled to premiere this year. Today, news about him being cast in the upcoming Hunan TV drama The Whirlwind Girl 2 began spreading like wildfire. The exciting news comes shortly after his joint Korean Chinese HBS series My Male God completed filming.
The first season of The Whirlwind Girl, which aired in July 2015, was all about a girl pursuing glory in martial arts. Stars Hu Bing Qing and Yang Yang took the leading roles. Ji's fans in China can look forward to seeing him in a main role in The Whirlwind Girl 2 when it premieres in July.
Ji Chang Wook has become a hot star in South Korea for his roles on stage and in dramas like Healer and Empress Ki. Now, he is planning to expand his successful acting career all over Asia. I wonder if he will make an official debut as an idol in the near future too?
Are you looking forward to seeing him act in foreign dramas this year?
