K-pop group KARA is officially disbanded
After rumors of a possible break-up, DSP Entertainment confirmed that long-running girl group KARA will be disbanding after nine long years together.
Most of KARA's contracts expired on January 15, 2016, and DSP Media reported that three of the four current members, Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Hara, will not be re-signing them and will no longer be represented by the agency. These members will be pursuing different opportunities with other companies, and DSP responded by wishing them well in their future endeavors.
The remaining member, Youngji, still remains under her current contract with DSP Media, who hopes to do their best in helping her succeed as a solo artist in the future.
DSP Media thanks Kamilias for their love and support for the group over the last nine years and asks fans to support all the members in the future.
