In sad news for fans of the K-pop girl group KARA, Nicole Jung has officially left. There has been no official explanation as to why Nicole made this decision, but KARA's agency has reassured fans that she will have a new start in another project soon, and that KARA will continue as a group.

KARA's agency, DSP, commented, "Nicole, who has been with KARA for about seven years, is no longer part of the group as her exclusive contract with DSP Media expires as of Jan. 16. Although her work as KARA is regretfully completed, we hope the fans encourage her as she is preparing to have another new start."

Three members of KARA, Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara have all renewed their contracts for two more years, but it is still up in the air whether or not Jiyoung will resign in April or leave to focus on her education. DSP has promised fans that KARA will continue as a group regardless of whether or not individual members leave.

KARA fans are sad to lose the very talented Nicole, but it's reassuring to know that we will see her in new projects soon.
