_KEN0068.450x675 Paris Fashion Week has some heavy hitters strolling down the runway, from Stella McCartney (which saw dad, Paul, and Bono front row at its show) to Givenchy, Gaultier, and Saint Laurent. Yesterday brought out the much-hyped collection from Kenzo, founded by famed Japanese designer Kenzeo Takada. The show took place at the historic Paris department store La Samaritaine. The store is about to undergo renovations to become a luxury mall and hotel, so this will be the first AND last ever runway show. This might be a good thing, as early reports indicate the enormity of the space made it hard to get a good glimpse at the clothing's details. Sri Lankan singer M.I.A. scored the runway show, which saw Kenzo's current creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon staying true to Kenzo's known aesthetic of color and prints.
