Kim Soo Hyun's agency, KeyEast Entertainment, recently declared record profit in its third quarter. KeyEast also acknowledged that the success was largely due to Kim Soo Hyun's popularity in China.

It was lucky for KeyEast that Kim Soo Hyun renewed his contract with the entertainment company last December, right before the start of his new series My Love From Another Star. On November 7, KeyEast announced its third quarter profit to be 2.9 billion won, up by 29.6% from last year. As explained by KeyEast, "Our third quarter performance is in relation to the increase in China export service revenues driven by the growth in popularity of our artist Kim Soo Hyun and the acquisition in July this year of Japan's largest Korean cable broadcasting company, KNTV, a subsidiary of the corporation."
