Hayao Miyazaki’s film Kiki’s Delivery Service garnered great success in the animation world in 1989. Not only was it the highest grossing film in Japan, but it also won 15 various awards. On the 25th anniversary of the movie, a live-action version of Kiki’s Delivery Service is set to release on March 1st. A few weeks prior to the premiere of the live-action movie, the actress who plays Kiki successfully created buzz by “flying” on her iconic broom for the event.

Kiki, played by Fuka Koshiba, showed up about 45 feet above Hanazono Shrine in Tokyo supported by a crane to promote the live-action movie for Kiki’s Delivery Service. The actress was supposedly insured for almost $1 million for the stunt.
