Kill Me, Heal Me finds replacement leads from Secret
After Lee Seung Gi and Lim Ji Yeon turned down the new drama, Kill Me, Heal Me, one might think the production team would have trouble finding replacements leads. They (and the fans) got lucky! Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum are stepping up to take on the new multiple-personality romance comedy. It should be a dramatic change from their last pairing in Secret.
Kill Me, Heal is about a chaebol son with 7 multiple personalities who falls in love with his doctor. And, it's supposed to be a romance comedy. Pen Entertainment announced on December 5 that "The leads for Kill Me Heal Me will be Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum, both of whom have good acting skills and high star level, while Park Seo Joon has also been casted."
Seven personalities sounds a bit too many for any actor, but Ji Sung has played many interesting roles in his career. He can do the funny as in Protect The Boss, the serious in Royal Family, and many more. So, how about 7 roles in one drama? Yes, he can!
Of course Ji Sung might prefer to spend time with his pregnant wife, Lee Bo Young, but it doesn't hurt to get another drama out of the way so that he can earn money for the diapers or start an education fund for the new baby. (Just kidding! There is no inkling that either he or Lee Bo Young has money problems.)
What we do know for sure is that the Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum pairing is guaranteed to be sizzling. I've watched Secret, the revenge romance drama that is based on an incredible premise, but Ji and Hwang made it work and the chemistry was explosive between them. So, on the one hand that it's sad to miss Lee Seung Gi, but on the other hand, we get a very impressive pairing with the new leads. Kill Me Heal Me certainly can't afford to have another turmoil, as its first episode is expected in early January 2015. Frankly, I'm dying to see the drama!
