It's not only fans that are mourning the end of Goblin: The Lonely and Great God. On January 23rd, a letter written by Kim Go Eun was uploaded on her agency website, and the hit drama seems to have been just as special to her as it was to the millions of viewers who tuned into the show.

Sometimes, it's not just work for actors and actresses, who become emotionally invested into not only their characters, but with all those they work with on set. The countless hours spent trying to collectively create something special becomes a bonding experience, one that means more to those involved than most people assume. When Goblin: The Lonely and Great God aired for the final time on January 21st, more people watched the popular cable show than any other show except Answer Me 1988. Needless to say, Goblin was loved by millions, and one of those who loved it was none other than Kim Go Eun herself, who thanked fans in a very sincere and heartwarming letter. Her message in its translated form is below:

"Thank you for supporting Goblin and “Eun Tak” all this time. I still can’t believe the drama has ended and now I feel like blowing a candle will make a goblin appear. I am very happy for meeting “Eun Tak” through this drama; it was a very thankful winter. Also, “Eun Tak” is living her second-life happily after meeting the goblin and I’m sure they are spending a very happy time together. I will always treasure the love you have sent me and I will become a Kim Go Eun that shows a better self."

"P.S. After meeting the drama Goblin, every moment was blindingly beautiful. Because the weather was great, because the weather was terrible, because the weather was perfect…every day was amazing." — Kim Go Eun

So there you have it. Goblin means just as much to the leading lady as it does to anyone else.
