Actress Kim Soo Hyun talks Avengers: Age of Ultron
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens this weekend to U.S. audiences, but it has already made big bucks in South Korea, raking in a little over $28 million. With a large portion of the movie set in Seoul and the superheroes supported by scientist Helen Cho, played by Kim Soo Hyun (who also goes by Claudia Kim), South Korea leads international ticket sales at 14% of all current markets.
Kim Soo Hyun's last K-drama was MBC's Level 7 Civil Servant, starring Joo Won and Choi Kang Hee, a lighthearted spy romp. She also can be found on Drama Fever in Brain, a medical drama about two neurosurgeons.
Kim Soo Hyun, interviewed by Cosmopolitan Korea, had kind words to say about her costars and director Joss Whedon. She discussed her rigorous exercise and training schedule for her role in American TV series Marco Polo and her hopes to work with actresses Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard. In an interview with SBS' radio program Cultwo Show, she mentions co-star Robert Downey Jr. , who was moved to tears by the support and enthusiasm of Korean fans.
