Korea Night at Dodger Stadium features rock group YB and 2NE1's CL
Baseball fans who attended the annual Korea Night at Dodger Stadium in L.A. were in for a treat last night as they were joined by two of Korea's most well-known musical entities, Korean veteran rock band YB and the "baddest female," CL from K-pop supergroup 2NE1! On the field, YB stood for a photo-op session and met with the likes of Paula Abdul and Hyun-Jin Ryu, pitcher for the Dodgers (who is currently sidelined after shoulder surgery...get well soon!). CL appeared for a brief pre-game interview on the field, where she was able to show fans her excitement at throwing the first pitch!
As fans were getting ready to watch the game, YB announced that there would be a special stage where they would play a couple of their songs pre-game. As soon as YB was announced, the crowd went wild, and fans got to their feet as they sang along to YB's hits! After the live performance, Yoon Do-Hyun, lead vocalist for YB, stepped out to sing the national anthem, gaining thunderous applause from the audience as he finished the song, impressing with his strong vocals!
Now, it was time for the first pitch! Both CL and Yoon Do-Hyun went out to the pitchers mound and threw their pitches to signify the start of the game. After they left the field, fans were once again pleasantly surprised with the opportunity to get autographs from both CL and YB. It was quite the spectacle! YB is currently joining the Smashing Pumpkins for their "In Plainsong" US tour, and CL is promoting her single "Dr.Pepper".
