Another fan has turned his imagination into awesome works of art, this time by depicting Marvel superheroes dressed in ancient Chinese attire, as if they were characters in a Chinese opera.

An artist out of Hong Kong named Tik Ka is a painter and illustrator who began his career 10 years ago. According to his website, he is known for "So Ha" art, which demonstrates different aspects of traditional Chinese culture with lovable baby characters. He stays true to his Chinese roots, incorporating them with  Western elements and a Japanese superflat technique, which is a postmodern art movement founded by the iconic Takashi Murakami. Tik has exhibited his art in galleries all over the world, everywhere from his native Hong Kong all the way to Paris and Los Angeles. So some of what he does can be called fan art, but he's obviously a very talented professional artist.

Recently, Tik decided to dress Marvel superheroes in traditional Chinese attire, and turn them into characters in a Chinese opera. Somehow, the costumes designed in the United States mesh perfectly with the ancient Chinese garb, creating new characters that look totally awesome and natural as Chinese superheroes. If you visit his website, you'll see just how talented he is, with original works that look nothing like the illustrations you see below. For more, visit his Facebook page or his website.
