Learn Korean cooking the Kdrama way!
by special guest blogger Shin:
Hello, Drama Fever friends!
My name is Shin, cooking instructor based in New York City and translator for Drama Fever. I want to share information about a fun event I'm hosting at the Korea Society on September 12th that combines two of my favorite things - Korean food and Korean drama! In the first hour, I'll demonstrate how to make this unusual, modern kimchi called gardenia kimchi, featured in an episode of the K-drama Kimchi Family (발효가족). Then we'll get our hands on making the kimchi together and rice balls to go with gardenia kimchi.
During the second hour, we'll watch an episode from Kimchi Family, a heart warming drama that centers around kimchi and other delicious Korean food, and sip on pineapple makgeoli slush. There will be some drawing prizes provided by Drama Fever at the end too!
If anyone is as excited as I am about Korean food or Korean drama or if you're simply curious, and you in New York area, please come out and join the fun!
You can find more information about this event and reserve your spot from the Korea Society webpage.
You can find the main theme OST of Kimchi Family including some clips of making gardenia kimchi below.
Also, check out my blog for Korean recipes and upcoming cooking class information.
Thank you and see you soon!
