Lee Dong Wook, Jung Ryeo Won, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Park Hee Bon confirmed for upcoming drama Bubblegum
Upcoming tvN Korean romantic comedy http://1hop.co/oujcu/ejaya/">Bubblegum has announced that its cast will include Lee Dong Wook (Scent of a Woman) and Jung Ryeo Won (History of a Salaryman) as the leads, and Lee Jong Hyuk (Dating Agency: Cyrano) and Park Hee Bon (The Master's Sun) as the second leads in a "modern fairytale."
Bubblegum is about Park Ri Hwan (Lee Dong Wook), a selfless hospital director who cares for his mother and always puts the needs of others ahead of his own. Jung Ryeo Won plays Kim Haeng Ah, a clumsy and impatient radio DJ who is hiding painful emotions. Lee Jong Hyuk will play the level-headed and admirable chief of the radio news department, who is passive when it comes to romantic relationships. Breaking out of her usual best friend typecast, Park Hee Bon is a cold yet romantic heiress who has a successful dental practice.
The story has been described as a modern fairytale about two people who find happiness together in a world where we need others to be complete.
Bubblegum will be directed by Kim Byung Soo, who previously worked on Nine, Queen In Hyun's Man, and Three Musketeers. It is being produced by the same company who made Secret Garden and A Gentleman’s Dignity. It is scheduled to air Mondays and Tuesdays and premieres October 26 before Cheese in the Trap, which will now be pushed to December or January.
