A week after Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung’s breakup, another Korean celebrity couple has ended their relationship. Scarlet Heart: Ryeo’s Lee Joon Gi and Jun Hye Bin, who met through Joseon Gunman, confirmed breakup through Namoo Actors.

In April 2017, the couple said they had been dating secretly for two years. Lee Joon Ki and Jun Hye Bin met on set of Joseon Gunman in 2014. According to the actress, they were friends for a long time before dating.

“(We) had been a hyung and a dongsaeng for a long time because I’m a tomboy. And we thought we weren’t compatible at all. We didn’t see this coming because we were friends for a long time,” Jun Hye Bin said on a talk show in April.

Even when love is obviously in the air, Korean celebrity couples are, more often than not, cautious to share their relationship.

“Many actors don’t acknowledge a relationship because it’s bound to harm someone,” Jeon Hye Bin added in the same interview, elaborating that she and Lee were certainly worried for Joseon Gunman’s production team and “didn’t want the fans to get hurt either.”

We hope this couple didn’t think they had hurt the fans. On the contrary, we admired how good they looked together in Joseon Gunman as well as off the screen. Plus, we know how much they love us. For example, Lee Joon Gi, who has always enjoyed great fan service, watched the Scarlet Heart: Ryeo finale with the fans last fall.

We’re sad this amazing couple had to call it quits! Best of luck to you, Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin!
