Lee Joon Ki is the latest actor caught up in dating rumors, with Korean entertainment news sites claiming that he is in a relationship with his Joseon Gunman costar Jun Hye Bin. Namoo Actors, the agency that represents both Lee Joon Ki and Jun Hye Bin, was quick to squash the rumors with an official statement.

Lee Joon Ki and Jun Hye Bin first met on the set of last year's Joseon Gunman, where she played the second female lead in love with Joon Ki's character. Then the two reportedly became close while working out at the same fitness center and spending some time hanging out together.

Namoo Actors denied the rumors unequivocally, stating, "They are only friends; they are not in a dating relationship. Also it's not just the two are close, they're close with everyone from their past drama."

On the one hand, that's a pretty direct denial. On the other hand, Lee Joon Ki is known as a private guy, and he once said this in a 2013 interview: "If I want to marry someone I like, our dating must remain a secret. I do not want to date in the public eye." Even if Lee Joon Ki did find someone to date, it's unlikely he would share it with the public until he was ready for marriage.

As one of the Joseon Gunman viewers who adored Jun Hye Bin's character and secretly wanted Yoon Kang to choose Hye Won (back before she turned all evil and stuff), I wouldn't mind if the rumors were true. What's most important, though, is giving the actors the freedom to date whomever they want without netizens getting in the way. Whether they're dating or not, let's hope they both find happiness!

Lee Joon Ki just returned to filming his upcoming vampire sageuk Scholar Who Walks the Night after breaking his nose on set and undergoing surgery. The series is set to air in July following the conclusion of Jeju Island Gatsby. Due to licensing restrictions, it will air on DramaFever with a two-week delay.
