While US citizens exercised their civil rights by voting in the 2012 elections, another important poll was conducted in cyber space. The online community, DC Inside, conducted a poll asking netizens to vote for a celebrity who would excel in the Sooneung, Korea’s college scholastics ability test that's conducted on Thursday, November 8th. Actor and singer Lee Seung Gi won the poll with 2024 votes out 6527. The president of his high school, Lee Seung Gi's intelligence is already pretty well known—he majored in international commerce and graduated at the top of his class. The poll had singer John Park coming in 2nd place, followed by former UN member Kim Jeong Hoon. John Park studied at Northwestern University in the US before becoming a singer. Kim Jeong Hoon was studying to become a dentist at the prestigious Seoul National University and participated in (and won!) math quizzes. Other celebrities on the list include Epik High’s Tablo, Kim Tae Hee, Park Jung Hyun, Song Joong Ki, and Eric Nam.
