Seo Kang Joon isn't the only popular member of 5urprise! Following a memorable performance in the recently concluded series Pride and Prejudice, fellow 5urprise member Lee Tae Hwan is also gaining notice quickly. In a recent interview, Lee Tae Hwan discussed his new-found fame and his perceived rivalry with Seo Kang Joon.

In an interview with Xports News on January 20, Lee Tae Hwan said that he has noticed some increase in his popularity since his role in Pride and Prejudice. For example, when he was eating udon, someone approached him, calling him Kang Soo (the name of his character) and asking to take a photograph together. Lee said that the experience made him feel even more responsibility to do well as an actor.

The interviewer then asked about an earlier press conference, where Lee Tae Hwan said, "I want to show that there is more to 5urprise than just Seo Kang Joon." When asked how he feels about that goal now, this is how Lee Tae Hwan responded: "I still need to work hard. This is a time when not only Seo Kang Joon and I but everybody else as well needs to be diligent. Seo Kang Joon started it, but I wish that all five members of 5urprise would do well together. I wish that I would likewise do well and be able to become a source of strength to Seo Kang Joon."

He also denied that the 5urprise members are rivals with Seo Kang Joon, explaining, "Our relationship does not require rivalry. We give advice to each other and have a friendly rivalry. If the members do not know something, we always ask one another. Even when I was filming Pride and Prejudice, I asked Seo Kang Joon a lot of things like methods to strengthen the body."

We're happy to hear that the boys of 5urprise are working as a team. Like Lee Tae Hwan said, it would be great to see all of the members succeed together!

We will be excited to see their teamwork in action as all five of the 5urprise members perform together at the 3rd Annual DramaFever Awards. If you want to see 5urprise in person, don't forget to get your tickets HERE before they sell out!
