Cha Seung WonLee Yeon Hee, and Seo Kang Joon's new historical drama Hwajung (Splendid Politics) premieres April 13, 2015 on DramaFever!

At Tuesday's press conference, Lee Yeon Hee said on filming first historical drama, "Historical dramas have a lot of characters, and I feel apprehensive at the thought of playing with many actors. But I'm also curious what would happen (as we film Hwajung)."

Hwajung producer Kim Sang Ho said, "Actress Lee Yeon Hee has a peculiar charm like that of a boy, which triggered us to cast her as Princess Jungmyung."

Princess Jungmyung is an unfortunate character who's ousted from the palace by her half-brother Prince Gwanghae (Cha Seung Won) and loses her class and privilege.

Lee Yeon Hee said on acting as a cross-dresser, "Cross-dressing is a role all actresses want. It's fun to play. I'm also the only girl at the filming scene so everyone's very nice to me, which I appreciate." She is to thwart her feminine personality and show boyish charms on Hwajung.

Seo Kang Joon will also be joining the cast for his first historical drama. He will play Hong Joo Won, the son of a noble family who falls for Princess Jungmyung. He said that he initially felt concerned and burdened by the role, but he learned how to feel more comfortable thanks to help from senior actor Jo Sung Ha, who told him to relax without worrying too much about tone. Kang Joon also said of his character, “Hong Joo Won is a brilliant, cool-headed man. However, he can get clumsy and sweet at times. I think he is an attractive character as he is unpredictable,”
