Chen Yi Rong uses her debut drama Lavender as inspiration for her real wedding
September's wedding bells continue to ring! Taiwanese actress Chen Yi Rong (aka Tammy Chen) is getting married. When her boyfriend, a doctor, was dating her, he heard friends and patients praise her debut drama Lavender and decided to watch the entire drama series. (Isn't that so romantic?) When the couple decided to marry, he persuaded Tammy to use lavender as the theme for their wedding photoshoot. Check out the beautiful results.
Tammy starred as the lead in the 2001 drama Lavendar, and rose to fame. (On DramaFever, you can find Tammy in the charming romance comedy, Love Forward.)
Tammy's fiance, an MD specializing in medical cosmetology, said that Lavender was Tammy's start as an actress, and using the lavender theme symbolizes a return to the beginning to start their life together.
The wedding photoshoot was taken in scenic Hokkaido in northern Japan. The entire process took several days, during which the couple got up at the crack of dawn to drive several hours to various scenic points. It was also a chance to show that they could work well together.
Aren't these photos romantic?
Tammy originally didn't think too much of the wedding shoot, as the 37-year-old actress has had plenty of experience dressed in beautiful wedding gowns in her dramas. However, when she looked up and realized that she was standing next to the person she was marrying in real life, it became "real" to her.
The happy couple will hold their wedding in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on September 26.
Congratulations and may you always have lavender in your life!
