hello

OhSoEnthusiastic: So this week was kind of crazy, wasn’t it? Our suspicions proved to be right about the murderer, but not totally in the way at least I know I was expecting. And the romance is...sort of moving? But also not? We’re in that weird, kind of frustrating in-between place where the leads like each other but one or both are too bone headed to just admit it. I’m looking at you, Ji Wook. Get it together, boy.

Marakeshsparrow: In Ji Wook’s defense, the last episode ended with an amazing cliff hanger--KISS KISS! I’m pretty stoked that he at least got over his “fears” to give Bong Hee a smackeroo. But I’m not 100% confident that he’s going to stand by his actions come next week. But as far as the reveal on the murderer this week, I have to say, I’m surprised! (and a wee bit disappointed--I was hoping someone Bong Hee represented would actually be innocent for once). But the whole time they were setting it up that Hyun Soo was the real murderer, I kept thinking “but what about Mr. CSI? Isn’t /HE/ the real killer?” I never would have guessed that the murdered wasn’t working alone. Touche drama. Touche.

DeShonda: I am very happy at the outcome between Bong Hee and Ji Wook. Finally we did get a kiss but I can’t wait to see what happens next. I do like the push/pull or love/hate relationship they have going on. We have plenty of episodes to go so I don’t want them to fall in love full force so soon. I was very suprised about the murderer as well. I did not expect Hyun Soo and Mr. CSI to be working together at all. I will say that Mr. CSI is very scared of him and it makes me worry about what happened to him in the park.

OhSoEnthusiastic: CSI is dead. He’s just straight up dead. There’s no way Hyun Soo will just let him get away with trying to out him to Bong Hee and Ji Wook. If I were a crazy, potentially psychopathic murderer, I certainly wouldn’t let him walk away from that. This is kind of the point in a lot of dramas though, where the romance starts to frustrate me more than give me enjoyment. The writers always prolong the ‘we can’t be together’ part of the story a little longer than necessary, in my opinion, and it always makes me want to flip a table. The kiss was definitely great, but I’m just worried that all that was was a tease, and next week we’ll be back to them pining for each other on opposite sides of the room. Personally, I would have liked to see them make a /legitimate/ effort to keep their relationship totally professional. Not because I don’t want them together, but because it’s a better story, in my opinion. But I’m not a huge fan of contrived pining, so not everyone is going to agree.

Marakeshsparrow: I’m alright with a bit of pining, but I’m hoping they don’t go overboard. I kind of like seeing Ji Wook as the one watching Bong Hee from a distance and being a “stalker” (hahahaha, jk, we know you’re not a creeper Ji Wook-ah). But I’ll be frustrated if Bong Hee continues to push him away, because COME ON, this is what you’ve been waiting for! So yeah, I expect a bit more will they-won’t they, let’s just hope that the drama doesn’t drag it out to an annoying level. As for Mr. CSI, yup, he’s dead. I’ll bet $100 that he’s going to be the next murder victim they discover. Maybe then they’ll start to put things together and realize that there’s a serial killer afoot. What did you two think about some of the cryptic things Hyun Soo was saying? 3 people have already disappeared and there are 4 more to go? There’s more to this plot than meets the eye, that’s for sure.

DeShonda: I like the fact that Ji Wook is always there looking out for Bong Hee. She definitely needs the protection for she dosen’t know what she is dealing with, and Ji Wook does. Ji Wook knows that something is creepy about Hyun Soo and even when the two of them were talking Hyun Soo was giving me this creepy vibe. I noticed what he was saying and it’s very scary. It looks like he has killed more people and if that’s the case then he must be stopped.

OhSoEnthusiastic: Honestly, I kind of want Bong Hee to be like, ‘Ya know what? No. You rejected me, told me to stop liking you, said we should have boundaries, so I set some boundaries. Now you don’t want them them?? Nah, bro. You need to go make up your damn mind then come back when you’ve decided.’ She kind of did that initially, and I was pumping my fists, but whether she’ll stand by it, I don’t know. I do appreciate how kind the two of them are to each other though, and I don’t think it’s just because they like each other. I think they genuinely care for and respect each other, and they can’t help but show it. I’m definitely glad Ji Wook can see that there’s something off with Hyun Soo, cause poor, precious Bong Hee is so oblivious to other people’s...evil, I guess? She just wants to believe the best about others, but it’s not always a good idea. Some people are not very nice people. I’m glad Ji Wook is there to balance her out in that way.

Marakeshsparrow: Bong Hee is definitely a gentle soul--she tries to see the best in people and that’s why for once I was hoping that the world would throw her a bone and allow her instinct that he was innocent to be correct. Alas, often times people are not as nice as they seem. Ji Wook knows it. So does Yoo Jung. But maybe that’s one of the things that makes Bong Hee special. I’m hoping she doesn’t turn too jaded once she finds out the truth about Hyun Soo. I know it’s only a matter of time before she does. Speaking of which, when she met up with him to get lunch I was like “OMG IF ONLY SHE KNEW HE WAS THE MURDERER SHE’S BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!” Sometimes what you’re looking for is right in front of your nose…

DeShonda: I felt the same way as well. Everytime she was around him I was very nervous for her. As you mentioned Bong Hee does have a good heart and wants to see the good in people. I just can’t wait until it’s finally revealed to her that Hyun Soo is the murderer.

OhSoEnthusiastic: Even though Bong Hee is really quite naive in a lot of ways, I do still like her naivety. She’s willing to give everyone a chance, which Ji Wook /isn’t/ willing to do. They balance each other out in that way, which I really appreciate. If Bong Hee could just win one case though, like legitimately win it, that would be great. Because it sucks so hard seeing her try to see the good in others and always be let down. That is a struggle I connect with on a very deep level, so I’m hoping the drama will give her a break. When her and CSI agreed to meet in the middle of the night at a /deserted park/, that’s when I had to facedesk. It’s the /middle/ of the NIGHT, and you’re meeting in a /deserted/ PARK?!?! What is wrong with you?!?! You are /asking/ to be murdered at that point. I’m not so much upset with Bong Hee, cause she doesn’t /know/ that Hyun Soo is the bad guy. But CSI? Come on, man. Make better life choices.

Marakeshsparrow: Riiiiiiiiight? I mean, I guess he thought it would be better in an isolated place? But COME ON. Not Getting Murdered 101 decrees that you always meet in a well-lit PUBLIC place. Also, did he not realize his phone was tapped or something? I guess not. He should have reached out to Ji Wook when he had the chance, rather than waiting and calling Bong Hee. Like we said, we all know what’s going to happen to him! I’m just glad Bong Hee had the brains to wait for Ji Wook to arrive. Good for her!

OhSoEnthusiasitc: And then they both just went back to his apartment. Like, what? Do you not want to know what CSI has to say? Alright then. Guess we don’t have to solve that case. I don’t know why CSI would have thought meeting in an isolated place was a good idea though. I really don’t understand what his thought process was there.
