Madame Antoine's love expert Sung Joon explains why we love bad boys
"Bad boys" are a special breed in K-dramas, and drama-land is littered with nice guys who don't get the girls because they lose out to bad boys like Lee Min Ho's Goo Joon Pyo in Boys Over Flowers. If you've ever wondered why, watch the Madame Antoine psychologist Choi Soo Hyun (Sung Joon), who specializes in love, demonstrate it in a very easy explanation in this video. It is extremely hilarious because this "bad boy" doesn't know what's coming to him.
(Caution: Spoiler Alert)
This clip comes from Episode 3, which I think is especially funny and really shows off the romcom flair in Madame Antoine.
Isn't it a funny interchange between two brothers who are so different?
Sung Joon plays an extremely self-confident (read: arrogant) psychologist who has never loved and is currently using Go Hye Rim (Han Ye Seul) as a study subject. His brother Choi Seung Chan (Jung Jin Woon), on the other hand, is a nice guy and doesn't understand why Choi Soo Hyun (Sung Joon) is alternating between hot and cold in the way he treats Go Hye Rim, who doesn't know there is a secret side to the study.
What is even more hilarious is what happens next in the brain-scanning test he'll conduct on Han Ye Seul to prove his theory on the attraction of bad boys.
Guess who wins!
Do you agree with the expert on love? Have you ever fallen for a bad boy?
