A shopping mall in China recently unveiled a new pink parking space that is designated for women only. The space is located in Dalian, China and is drawing quite a lot of attention for it's designation as a special parking spot for female drivers.

While many are seeing the space as a positive chivalrous gesture towards females, others are questioning the move as sexist because the parking space is actually wider than the other nearby spaces, implying that women aren't good enough drivers to park and reverse out of normal spots.

The creators of the space based the idea from Seoul, Korea, and are insisting that the parking spot is actually for women's safety and has nothing to do with women's driving abilities. Regardless of the intention behind the spot, it's safe to say that the fun design does break up the monotony of boring parking lots.
