Man's current lover and ex-girlfriend test his love by simultaneously jumping into a river
This sounds like it came straight out of a K-drama! A Chinese man from Ningbo city in Zhejiang province was faced with a tough choice when his girlfriend and his ex simultaneously jumped into a river to see who he would save. Did his heart make the right decision?
Wu Hsia, 21, left girlfriend Jun Tang, 20, to start dating Rong Tsao, 22. Things started to get complicated, however, when Jun refused to let go of the long-term relationship. She begged him and Rong to break up so that she could have her boyfriend back.
After three months of both Jun and Rong complaining about the situation, Wu had enough and decided to meet with both women at a park next to a river. “I became confused about who I wanted so I thought it would be best if we all met and talked about it," he explained.
Unfortunately, things didn't go quite as smoothly as he planned. Once the women met, things really got crazy.
In Wu's words, "The girls began arguing and then Jun flipped and jumped off the bridge and straight into the water. She was calling for help, but then Rong also leaped over, saying it was her or my ex. I was completely dumbfounded about what was going on. But then I realized that I had to do something, so I also jumped in but to save Rong.”
After saving his girlfriend, Wu called his brother to save Jun while he took his girlfriend home. The brother called the fire brigade, and Jun was also saved. Fortunately, neither woman was seriously hurt in their love stunt.
I remember seeing a similar scene in Trot Lovers where both female leads fell into the pool, but both men jumped in to save Eunji's character first. And here I thought it was something that only happens in dramas!
Perhaps the best part of all is Wu's closing statement on the event: "I was put in a difficult situation and had to make a choice between right and wrong. And I chose Rong."
